Kay Counseling Services PLLC is fully operated by Dr. Kewana M. Davis, Licensed Professional Counselor, LPC-S Supervisor, Certified Anger Management Therapist (CART). Dr. Kewana M. Davis is a national certified counselor through the National Board for Certified Counselors - (NCC). She received her Doctorate in Education Counseling from the Texas Southern University .
Dr. Davis received her Masters in Counseling from Prairie View A&M University and Bachelor's degree in Psychology from the University of Houston-Downtown. She is also a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional and EMDR trained. Dr. K. Davis has extensive experience with reuniting families and children. Dr. K. Davis has worked with and in the public school system with at risk youth for over 17 years by helping with their transition into adulthood. She has also worked with various state agencies and public colleges to meet the needs of her clients. Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) Therapy trained, which is an evidence-based therapy modality used to treat trauma. Currently accepting clients seeking EMDR therapy. Dr. Davis is also certified in Music Therapy and Sound Healing. Music is used within a theraputic relationship to address physical, emotional, cognitive, and the social needs of individuals.
Kay Counseling is dedicated to serving the therapeutic needs of the individual, couples and families. The counseling services are provided in a collaborative effort in a therapeutic setting to work toward the desired goal. Through Christian principles and psychologically-sound interventions, Kay Counseling Services has helped clients reach their goals to experience more fulfilling and satisfying lives.
